    Double Shock for Musk

The players and committee of Monymusk were shocked by the news of the resignation of manager Steven McCaig following last week’s Scottish Cup exit at the hand's of Johnshaven. Steve's reasons for leaving will remain behind closed doors but this is a massive blow to the everyone connected with the club as we had high hopes of winning some silverware this campaign under Steve's management. The news of Steve's sudden departure followed hard on the heals of the devastating news that the career of star man Marc Coull is almost certainly over. Marc suffered a double fracture of his leg last week, following a horror challenge from a Johnshaven player. Sadly the severity of the challenge was missed by the extremely poor match official and the perpetrator escaped with only a yellow card. It goes without saying that the Committee, players and supporters of Monymusk wish Marc a speedy recovery.

The Musk are pleased to announce that Michael Howden will take over team selection on a short term basis until the long term future of the club has been discussed.
