Notes: |
Celts got off to a good start when Connor Shorey's speculative shot slipped through the keeper's hands and into the net; but then had to endure a period of intense pressure from Ely. Against the run of play, Celts doubled their advantage when Liam Beckett headed in from a corner. Celts confidence was visibly lifted and they started to stroke the ball around. They went close to making it 3 nil, but it was Ely who struck next with a powerful shot from the edge of the box. |
