I'd like to begin by thanking those who turned up for the meeting on sunday. For those who didn't make it here are the key points of the evening.
The meeting was called to discuss the level of subs players currently pay. Provided for the evening was a breakdown of income and expenditure for the season 2006-2007, in which we made a loss. Cancelling the Astro-turf booking for this season, as this has been an extra income we could ill afford, came into discussion but was firmly rejected.
Much discussion was given to fund raising with some very positive suggestions. If this proves to be successful and monies are raised throughout this season, with the promise of a continuation through future seasons, we will be able to look at the reduction of subs for future years.
In summary, subs will remain at their current level for the duration of this season and then be reviewed at our AGM.
One other point brought up was the need for regular meetings in the future to facilitate communication between all parties. This should assist in a move forward in fund raising and any other issues that present themselves. The first of the meetings will be on the 7th October 2007 at 7pm.
