New Season...New Club

Brid FC was founded last friday and has the club has quickly managed to fit itself into one of the most sought after leagues in the county; Driffield Thursday Night Soccer Sixes. The club is run by Player / Manager Danny Nicholls, who's past experience captaining Wisodm FR at Universtiy level and FA Level 2 qualification should prove the ideal foundations for a successful start for the club. Nicholls' Assistant Manager is in the form of Goole Town AFC centre-back Chris Jenkinson, who brings a more physical no-nonsense dimensions to Nicholls' tactical nouse.

The club is in its infancy at current and is yet to establish a support base, though there are talks in process with a local company regarding possible sponsorship for a brand new football kit. The clubs facebook group is up and running with 7 members, and with word-of-mouth advertising, and good performances on the field, Brid FC is set to take East Yorkshire football by storm.

Brid FC's headquartes is based at Nicholls' home at Queensgate, and there have already been sightings of top quality players his house at weekends. At present, the current crop of players is thin on the ground, and with the modern day setback of day-to-day injuries the club will be looking to reinforce the quality by attracting players from around the region.

The club currently has several players registered and hopes to add to this before Thursday's season kick off. In goal, Brid FC have secured the services of Kirk 'the cat' Rothwell, who formerly played in the Birmingham Power League winning a number of plaudits with his remarkable saves between the posts.
