Welcome to Crofton Saints Lions Under 9 Website!

     

    Crofton Saints Youth Football Club was originally formed in 1990, and is based in the Stubbington area of Fareham. The club has grown significantly since its inception to a position where it now forms an integral part of the local community. The club caters for both boys and girls ranging from under 7 to 18 years of age and competes in both the Saturday Mid Solent 11 a side and mini soccer leagues, and also the 11 a side Portsmouth and Southampton Sunday leagues. Participation in district league and Hampshire Cup competitions is also undertaken and encouraged.

    Crofton Saints Lions 5-3 East Lodge
    The last match of the season saw another fine victory again a first win against east lodge this time. Crofton started like a whirlwind and were 4 up within ten minutes 2 each from Chris Talbot and Jack Dinnage with some great football beng played A Laurel and Hardy moment between Dan and Matt allowed east lodge a consulation before the break. Again another fine break away led to a superb goal by Alex White saw crofton end their league season on another high 2 goals in the last fifteen for east lodge brought some respectability to the scoreline.

    Crofton saints 3-1 Lee Rangers Red
    Two goals from Jack Dinnage and one from Chris Talbot secured the Lions first ever win against Lee Rangers a classic performance. Three goals in the first fifteen minutes saw saints control the game. With many other chances saints should have had the game well beyond reach before the last fifteen but a superb effort by Lee not only saw them grab one back but push all the way and they played superb but The Lions held on for a fantastic win.

    WHITELEY 0-6 CROFTON SAINTS LIONS

    The Lions best win of the season saw three free kicks hit the back of the net in a very good game of football. A classic strike from Oliver Kershaw saw the games opening goal a free kick from outside the box. The second period saw some good football and a poachers goal as Jack Dinnage stroked home from close range. Half time 2-0, Two beautiful free kicks thumped the back of the net both from Jack to nestle his first ever hat-trick for the Lions and a fourth followed as Jack played without doubt his best football of the season. Their was still time for a sixth as Peter Snaith broke clear and hit a fantastic strike to seal the lions best win of the season. Some excellent defending again saw the Lions keep a third clean sheet on the trot so a big well done to Matt Gregg a fantastic goalkeeper and to the excellent defence.

    A very strange game 0-0 is unheard of but a cracking game the Lions really should have one but some excellent defending from both sides saw a cracking game of football. MOM was Dan McCarthy
