Club History
About the Club
The Humble Beginnings
Back in 1997 in the centre of Bexley Village, a group of like-minded Dads started what we now call Parkwood Rangers. Initially with around 30 boys, we started playing in the Bexley & District League with 2 Under 8 teams and 1 Under 9s, playing our home games at Butterfly Lane, Eltham. The Club grew from strength to strength once we established our training base at Old Bexley School. The children just kept coming.
Charter Standard
The Club gained F.A. Charter Standard Award in 1999. At that time one of the first clubs locally to do so. We found a new home ground at Bexley Park and just kept growing.
The Club is currently looking to improve its Charter Standard status and move up to the highest level achievable, that of a Community Club.
The Club Today
In the 2006/07 season we will be registering six mini soccer teams, one 9-a-side team and seven 11-a-side teams. This includes both boys and girls, with over 200 children playing for Parkwood Rangers.
