History
    1950 onwards

During its 57 year old lifetime Horam Bowls Club has become an enviable amenity for locals & visitors alike.   Facilities are now excellent, but the Club ethos is fair play for all, on and off the green.   From a humble small wooden hut for a "pavilion" with an unsophisticated  small 4 rink green to the current spacious pavilion and very good 6 rink green with ample car parking illustrate the "material" features of the Club, but our friendly, welcoming approach to members & visitors is paramount.

Horam B.C. supports the local community, assisting the Parish Council, the Village Hall and Recreation Ground sports clubs and Scouts Group to provide more and better facilities for locals and visitors.

We run an Annual Charity Event to help good causes, and we directly assist the Eastbourne Blind.  Our Annual Triples Day Event enables us to invite clubs from Sussex & Kent to join us for a day of friendly, competitive bowls with lunch, day-long refreshments, side-stalls and raffles to enhance the enjoyment for bowlers & spectators alike.

Our modern, spacious pavilion was grant aided by Sport England and the Sport Foundation to ensure facilities for locals and visitors were to a high standard.  The Club is sponsored by Heathfield Funeral Service and by C. Waterhouse (Burwash) whose generous help goes towards benefits for members and visitors.  Tim Waterhouse is Club President.
